I’m an award-winning interior designer, writer. broadcaster and lecturer, based in London, England, although my design projects have taken me all over the UK and Europe, Canada, the Caribbean and Morocco.  I re-traced my father’s trans-Atlantic journey to Canada (I was born in Newfoundland), and have been on the European side of the pond now for over 20 years.

I love design, particularly creating beautiful interiors cost effectively, and supporting talented artists and artisans, and I ponder, mull, and scribble about this on my blog.

So, feel free to come on along on this journey with me.  You’re welcome.  Who knows where it may take us?

I came across your website and found it alluring and exciting. I am a big fan of travel. If you could e-mail me back, that would be great. I just had a couple questions.

Hi, I just read through your articles on baroque and art noveau interior design and I’m pleasantly surprised with the insight and depth of your writings. Fantastic stuff!! Would you consider linking to our website http://www.thehomelook.com in exchange for a link on our blog?

    Hi Adrienne,
I’m an artist (abstract painter) and absolutely LOVE Kelly’s paintings as well. That’s how I found you!
Would you be interested in reviewing my website? I’m always looking to promote my art and have worked with interior designers and decorators in the past.

    All the best,
(and greetings from Hackney, London UK)

ps: by the way, my grandpa was also from Canada!

    • Hi Ines

Sorry for the delay responding, but I’ve been away at a trade show in Portugal and am catching up on my blog now.

I’m delighted you like Kelly’s paintings — I’m a real fan of her work. So energetic! I’ll have a look at your website.

      Kind regards

    Hi Adrienne,
I love your web site, my name is adel and i am from Sydney Australia. I particularly like how you have highlighted the impact that the the use of caligraphy can have on a space …and I particularly like the one you have on your site that is on a diagonal. Its arabic text in the the persian style. Where did you find this wall paper……I would love to procure it in wall paper and fabric. Can you help me?
